Bodtect

Overhead line shrouding manufactured from yellow U.V. resistant material to EA43-103 standard and suitable for up to 1000 volts protection. Bodtect overhead line shrouding has been designed for ease of installation on overhead lines whilst offering complete protection. It is supplied as standard in 3 metre lengths and standard sizes 22mm 32mm and 45mm internal diameter. Other sizes available upon request.

Class B Protection

For use by regional electricity companies personnel when providing protection for third parties working in proximity to live low voltage conductors.

Pocket Shrouds LV

Pocket Shrouds are used to protect linesmen whilst working on live LV overhead power lines. These shrouds are simple to install and remove and can be supplied in a shroud holdall which offers protection and easy transportation.

These shrouds are produced from 1mm thick orange UV resistant material and are supplied with Velcro edge fastening. The material is tested to 5,000 Volts and is suitable for up to 1,000 Volts, 50Hz live line working, in accordance with VDE 0680/1.

Also available is a Jumper Keeper which is produced from UV resistant material and has an internal diameter of 12mm. The Jumper Keeper is designed to securely hold two jumper cables together whilst overhead line operational work is being carried out.

Staywire Protection

Solid tubular cover manufactured from yellow U.V. resistant plastic supplied with three cable ties and fixing holes at the centre and at each end.

Spiral cover manufactured from yellow U.V. resistant plastic. High abrasion resistance and easy to fit. Standard product packed in 20 metre coils.

Staywire Covers / Markers

Staywire covers / markers are ideal to use for protecting stays that are found on telegraph or electricity poles, etc. All of Boddingtons Electrical staywire covers / markers are easy to fit and clearly identify the location of stays. This helps to avoid injury to both employees as well as the public and warns hedge trimmers of the possible hazard. These stay wire covers / markers also protect the stay from possible damage from or to animals such as horses, cows, etc.

These stay wire covers are supplied in single 1.5m (SWP-22); 2m (SWP-76) and 20m (coil) (SWP-16Y) lengths and are manufactured from yellow UV resistant plastic. The SWP-22 is supplied with three cable ties and fixing holes at the centre and at each end to secure it in place.
