The heat mat consists of 3 distinct layers : 

1. Outer Layer – Silica Fibre 
2. Second Layer - Glass Fabric covered on one side with an aluminium foil 
3. Central Layer- Thermal Insulation Layer

• Continuous temperature resistance up to 1200°C, melting point beyond 1700°C        
• Resistant to most chemicals except from hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and strong caustics.   
• Very good electrical insulation properties
