Just only one tool for all 3 steps of cable jointing of medium voltage cables with easy-strip semiconductor screen.

►  Cutting and removing of outer screen
►  Depth guided scoring of semi-con screen
►  Cutting and removing of insulation

Working range is between diameter 20 – 58 mm. Cuts the outer sheath and the insulation up to a thickness of maximum 10 mm.
The scoring depth for cutting the easy-strip semi conductive layer can be fixed by 0.3/0.4 ore 0.7/0.8 mm due to the thickness of the layer.

1st Cutting and removing the jacket

Straighten the cable and clean the surface. Fasten the tool by using the screw (1) on the cable and use lock screw to fix the position. Place the depth of the cutting blade by turning the adjusting screw (2). Adjust the cutting angle by setting the lever

(A) in position 1 by lifting the disc. Tum the tool around the cable. The blade is cutting the sheath spirally. To make a circular cut set the lever in position "0". Open the fixing screws and remove the tool.

2nd Scoring and removing the easy strip semi-con

Fasten the tool on the cable by using the screw (1) and use the lock screw to fix the position. The scoring depth of the blade is adjustable, either 0.3/0.4 mm ore 0.7/0.8 mm. Set the scoring blade by turning the adjusting screw (3). Adjust the scoring angel by setting the lever (B) in position "1" by lifting the disc. Tum the tool around the cable . The blade is scoring the semi-con layer spirally. To make a circular score set the lever in position "O" and tum the tum for one more time.

3rd Cutting and removing the isolation

Fasten the tool by using the screw (1) on the cable and use lock screw to fix the position. The length of thed insulation can be adjusted by using the separate distance stop. Choose the depth of the cutting blade by turning the adjusting screw (2). Adjust the cutting angle by setting the lever (A) in position 1 by lifting the disc. Tum the tool around the cable. The blade is cutting the sheath spirally. To make a circular cut set the lever in position "0". Open the fixing screws and remove the tool.

 Changing the blades:

Tum blade completely out of the cutter head. Remove alien screw and change the blade.

Attention! Blades do have a sharp edge.
