An arc flash jacket is a type of personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to protect workers from the hazards of an arc flash. An arc flash is a type of electrical explosion or discharge that results from a low-impedance connection to ground or another voltage phase in an electrical system. Arc flash incidents can generate high temperatures, intense light, and pressure waves, posing serious risks to individuals working with or near electrical systems.
