CAT'ADVANCED WELD Molds for End-to-end connections
CATU CAT'ADVANCED WELD - CEW - E Exothermic Weld
An End-to-End Mold is a graphite mold designed for exothermic welding to permanently join two conductors in a straight-line configuration. It creates a strong, continuous electrical path by bonding the ends of two cables or rods together.
Standards compliancy:
- IEEE 837 - UL 467
Key features and functions
- Material: Made from high-quality, heat-resistant graphite to endure the extreme heat of the exothermic reaction.
- Joint Type: Produces a linear weld that connects two conductors end-to-end, maintaining continuity in a straight line.
- Precision Fit: Holds both conductors securely in alignment for a reliable, high-quality weld.
- Reusable: With proper care, molds can be used for multiple welds, offering long-term value.
- Applications: Commonly used for extending cable lengths, joining grounding rods, or repairing broken conductors in grounding and bonding systems.
Advantages of End-to-end Mold Connections
- Creates a molecular-level bond that is stronger than mechanical splicing or compression connectors.
- Provides a highly conductive, low-resistance joint for reliable current flow.
- Offers a maintenance-free connection that will not loosen, corrode, or degrade over time.
- Ensures compliance with international grounding and bonding standards.
