Bicolour chlorinated long composite gloves for medium voltage live working operations (gloving method). Integrated mechanical protection: no need of leather protector. Bell cuff and ergonomic hand shape. One piece only, with excellent leakage current properties (Category F): it is possible to work in wet conditions (if allowed by local regulations and work practices).

Insulating gloves 3 in 1: dielectric and mechanical resistances, protection up to the shoulder. Chlorination makes gloves easier to don without the use of talc; it improves some of the beneficial properties of latex and also eliminates soluble proteins that may cause allergic reactions. The hand’s ergonomic shape offers the maximum level of dexterity; the bell cuff improves the comfort by increasing the natural ventilation and allowing worker’s clothes to fit in. Bicolour: it makes the visual inspection easier. Gloves can be cut in order to fit user’s arm length

Testing

Gloves are tested and certified to EN 60903 and IEC 60903

No gloves of classes 1, 2, 3 and 4, not even those held in storage, should be use unless they have been tested within a maximum period of 6 months. . However they do need testing every six months. The tests should include air inflation to check for leaks (using our pneumatic glove tester), a visual inspection while pressurized and a dielectric test in accordance with EN60903 standards of live working gloves of insulating material.

STORAGE
The gloves must be kept in their original wrapping. Do not compress them. Do not fold them. Do not store them near light or heat sources natural or artificial . Storage temperature must be between 10 and 21° C. Humidity 60+/- 10%

TRANSPORT
Transport conditions must be the same as storage conditions

PRECAUTIONS
Gloves should now be allowed unnecessarily to come in contact with oil, grease, turpentine, white spirit, strong acid or any corrosive products. Do not use wet gloves

USE
Inflate the gloves with air in order to detect potential faults. Carry out visual inspection. The standards EN 60903 and IEC 60903 indicate in annex E.3 (informative) that Category C should be used in ambient temperatures between -40° C and +55° C

CLEANING
With water and soft soap only . Dry at less than 65° C.

PACKING :
Each pair of gloves is packaged in an opaque sachet with a direction of use inside. On the packaging, the following information is given : class, size, categories, type of cuff, length of gloves, test date, manufacture and validation batch numbers. The sachet and instruction for use are certified as part of the PPE and must be kept with the gloves.

Pallet Services

Our electrical switchboard matting is considerably heavy and can only be shipped via a third party pallet service. Unfortunately we cannot offer tracking information when using this service level. Any orders over a 40Kg will automatically be sent on a pallet service

Minimum Order Value

The minimum order value for carriage paid orders is £250.00 (nett) excluding vat.

Carriage paid orders exclude Timed Services such as 9am/10am/Noon.

Our minimum order level is £30.00 and maybe subject to a minimum order value of £10.00 excl vat however a carriage charge will be applied depending on the service level chosen.  

Export Customers

For all non UK mainland customers we quote Ex-Works (EXW).

EXW means that the seller has delivered when they place or deliver suitably packaged goods at the disposal of the buyer at an agreed-upon place (i.e. the works, factory, warehouse, etc.). The goods are not cleared for export.

The seller is not required to load the goods onto a collecting vehicle and, if they do, it is at the buyer’s expense. EXW is the only Incoterm where the goods are not required to be cleared for export, although the seller has the duty to assist the buyer (at the buyer’s expense) with any needed documentation and export approvals.

After collection, the buyer must provide the seller with proof that they collected the goods. From collection, the buyer is responsible for all risks, costs and clearances.

EN 60903 - Live working - Electrical insulating gloves

EN 60903:2003 - Gloves and mitts of insulating material for live working, corrected 2004 and 2006.

This European Standard specifies the requirements and test methods for gloves and wiring gloves intended for use by workers exposed to high-tension electrical voltage. This standard and does not make reference to other glove standards, such as EN 420 (general requirements), EN 388 (mechanical risks), or EN 374 (chemical risks).

Gloves that are manufactured and certified according to EN standard 60903 are the only gloves that should be used when there is a risk of electrical shock. To help determine which gloves provide the best protection, it is important to know gloves’ capacities relative to different voltage levels.

To limit the effects of wear and tear (e.g., contact with sharp cables), specially designed protective gloves can and should be worn over electrical insulating gloves.
